Thought for Thursday ... I'm the new Hostess!

Well, I was beyond flattered when Tricia from Mama Marchand's Musings emailed me over the weekend in regards to 'A Thought for Thursday'. If you haven't read the posts or you're not sure what it's about:

The guidelines are simple ... post a quote/image on your blog (be sure to include the source) that fits the mood of your week, include the button below (just copy and paste the code in the little box), and enter your post's URL in the link list included in each Thursday's post!
I love participating in this challenge each week and now I'll be hosting it from this point forward. Tricia is so blessed to have her life heading off in a hundred different directions and so she is passing this torch on to me -- and I was more than happy to accept!
So I encourage you all to participate, link up and spread the word! A Thought for Thursday is a great time to get some things off your mind - good, bad and in between!

So, lets move on to my personal Thought for Thursday and then link up!!

That old saying, 'sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me' sounds great in theory. But in reality, it is far from true. What people say about us can either build us up or break us down. Even when something negative comes from our biggest enemy, it still cuts us deep (if it doesn't you, please send me how you do it).

We've had a long weekend and week filled with much drama that adults should not be having to go through. At at the center of it, some nasty and mean things have been said about me. Although I know that these statements are not true, they still hurt, none the less. However, only because I allow them to.

I know who I am. I know what my intentions are. I know what really goes on behind closed doors in this house. I don't have to answer to anyone else. And more importantly, I'm the one letting others make me feel bad or hurt or inferior. So, I need to take Elenaor's advice above and not give anyone consent to make me feel any less. I need to take all the negativity and use it to make me that much stronger and better. Because that's how you truly win the battle.

Make sure you submit your links! And tell your friends about 'A Thought for Thursday.'

  6. I'm so sorry to hear that someone is causing drama in your life. People are just so mean and spiteful, they would rather torment others than focus on what their problems actually are...them. You're fantastic, don't listen to anyone who tries to tell you otherwise.
