A Parents Promise

Pinned Image

I absolutely love this quote. And I love this subway print from Joel Felix. Even more, I love what he says about it on his page:

"As a step-father this reminds me that, in the long run—I'm really not being unreasonable—regardless of what we're told by our children. P.S. Thank you Mom & Dad for the type of love that made you a nightmare in my life."

I hope and pray that my step-kids understand one day why we've done what we've done, said what we said, been hard on them at times and above all, strive to to ensure they are prepared for the wild world that awaits them!

  2. I am sure at some point they will understand & appreciate all you've done for them. It may not be as soon as you'd like, but it will happen. You love those kids so very much, so there's no doubt in my mind that they will some day thank you for being such a great parent.
