It's very easy for me to get caught up on what's going wrong in our life.
- The kids are acting up
- Money is tight
- The house is a wreck
- The 10 y/o is still refusing to eat
My list could go on and on. David says I tend to be a negative person - and I can't say I disagree with him. I've been like this my whole life. But with 4 impressionable young ones in the house I know I need to change my attitude to be more positive, even when things aren't going how I would like.
Which means, I need to think about celebrating the everyday moments. Those times that:
- We sit down as a family and enjoy a meal
- The 10 y/o comes in to say goodnight and he loves us
- A volleyball/football game well played
- The kids all getting along and helping each other out
- An hour spent with my honey watching our favorite show
These are the things I will remember and cherish the most in life. I know that all the other stuff will work itself out or go away - it's celebrating our day to day life that is important.
And I'm going to continue to work hard at leading by example!
Lots of Love...
