5 Random Facts...

So, I thought it might be fun to share some facts about me that you don't already know. I mean, other than I'm obviously a crazy dog lady who loves all things anchors and Alice in Wonderland! By no means am I saying that any of this will blow your mind - I mean, after all, I'm just me! But it may be things I never shared otherwise in my normal posts. So here goes!

1. I'm an only child. Maybe I've mentioned this. Maybe I haven't. But it explains a whole heck of a lot about me! I'm a spoiled, rotten only. Yes, I really was spoiled. Yes, I was one of those kids who did get mostly everything I wanted. However, my parents still instilled a good sense of judgment, work ethic, morals, values and a sense of love and kindness towards others. However, I still have a 'me, me, me' mentality most of the time - that sometimes gets me in trouble. I'm working on it. I've noticed that it's pretty common among only children.

Yep - all about me!

2. I had a really bad car wreck 3 years ago on August 17th. This has truly affected me in my driving and even when I'm a passenger. I was hit nearly head on by an 18-wheeler and they said I would have been dead if it hadn't been for my seat belt and air bags (I flipped 2+ times and the paramedics had called life flight when they arrived on scene - they didn't think I would maybe even be alive). I walked away from the ER the same day with only some minor scratches or bruises. But, now I always hug the shoulder when I drive and my palms get super sweaty when I ride in a car and we have to pass a big truck. Yeah - I'm a basket case!

3. One of my biggest accomplishments in my 31 years was a backpacking trip I did with a group from my church to the Pecos Wilderness in New Mexico. Sometimes I feel like even my biggest supporters don't give me the credit I deserve - and this was one of those instances. My friends and family ridiculed me and made fun of me... told me I wouldn't be able to do it. So, it was me that got the last laugh after I completed the whole trip, with not a single complaint or incident. With 30+ pounds strapped to my back I climbed an uphill battle and came out on the other side. And was honestly one of my proudest moments.

4. I'm deathly afraid of cockroaches. I mean, scream and run in the other direction afraid. I don't know what it is about them that just creeps me and freaks me out. But I hate them. I would take a snake over a cockroach any day of the week!

5. I was once bit by a donkey. This is no laughing matter. It hurt. How, you might wonder, did I manage to have my finger get bit by a donkey. Well, my kind readers, remember that I live in East Texas. For fun, we do things like drink a lot and go off roading in pastures. In these said pastures, there is sometimes livestock. And if you've had enought to drink, petting said livestock seems like a good idea. Until you get your finger bit- and the donkey doesn't want to let go. And the other people in the jeep can't help you get your finger back because they are laughing so hard. So, my tip to you... never drink and pet donkeys. The two just don't mix.

You're right - I'm rocking the Camo and the boots!

So, what is it that I need to know about you that I don't already??

    Car accident. Oh :(
Cockroaches are the most disgusting thing. I've been told I have OCD (joke, but maybe not) about my cleaning and if I had to be where they are I might have to be medicated.
Donkey, message read, notes taken. Thank you.
