Weekly Wrap-Up....

Wow. I've really been MIA – haven't I? I'm not really sure where the time goes! I didn't think going back to work full time and running a household and having 4 kids would monopolize so much of my time. What the heck was I thinking?

The good news is, we made it through out first week of school! We are still having a slightly hard time adjusting to homework and bedtime and fitting in everything we want to do – but I have a very positive outlook that it will all fall in to place and we will get in the groove of things!

Also, my first week of my new 8 to 5 job went extremely well. Let me tell you a little bit about what I'm doing (without boring you to death). First of all, I get to go to work every day with one of my oldest and dearest friends – Kristi. She landed me this gig and I'm so grateful.

I'm working for a roofing company. It is family owned and operated. We work 8 to 4 and the dress code is casual, which is so fantastic coming from a corporate environment. I'm doing a myriad of things, but mainly will be focused on estimating and bidding jobs and doing material lists. And I've also been in from the ground up on a new program we are starting up. That's exciting for me because it means I get to learn and be creative at the same time and show them what I've got to bring to the table.

Honestly, my place of employment could be a reality t.v. show. No lie. The owner and the Office Manager have been in a relationship for 13 years and live together. Chad, the owners son and co-owner is in a 3 year relationship with our Project Coordinator. Then you have Chelsea who oversees the Gym and Rental part of the business and now little 'ol me. And that makes up our entire office. It's small and it's a family. That means when you're in, you're in. And when you're out, you're out. The good news is, when you're in they take care of you. And you get a lot of chances to make mistakes and learn from them and improve. Not to mention, it gave me an excuse to go shopping Saturday for a new 'casual' work wardrobe. There is sometimes screaming and cursing – sometimes slammed doors and ignoring... but what do you expect? That's how it is with my family at home!

In home improvement news, I'm getting a new back splash in my kitchen on Tuesday.

My Aunt is being sweet enough to drive down from Oklahoma and put it up for me! She's the one who did my crown molding a few weeks ago (which made my entire living area look so different and fabulous). This means more chaos in the house – but well worth it!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous Monday and has a great week!

Lots of Love...
