Frugal Finds and a SHOW...

I didn't even get a chance to post anything yesterday... I was off and running from the time I woke up until I crashed in bed at 1 a.m. Needless to say, it was a very full day! Mom and I started off the day at an Estate Sale a couple of houses down from mine. It's the most amazing 3 story home, built around the 1900's. The sale was worth just getting to tour such a magnificent home (mind you that needs about $300,000 worth of work). But, we also found some amazing finds!!

We walked away spending about $36 - but came home with quite a few treasures. We got several picture frames and silver platters (that we will be re-purposing)...

What we were super duper excited about were the 40+ small vintage bottles we got for $10. We haven't quite decided what we are going to do with them yet, but we're very eager to get them in some soap and water and clean them up and see exactly what we have. They all came up from the basement of the house; so who knows how long they've been sitting down there...

And we were also quite impressed we got this older piece of Samsonite luggage for $1. Mind you, we have no idea what we are going to do with it, but I assure you, we will find something!

The other highlight of the day was getting to go see CATS!!! It is hands down, my all time favorite. I saw it 26 years ago, for the first time, with my mom in Tulsa. I think seeing that amazing production at such a young age just solidified my love for dance and theater. And it was pretty special to get to see it with my mom again, 26 years later. I think I was just as enthralled and mesmerized this time, as I was when I was 5.

I never cease to tear up when I hear 'Memories' or get super excited when Rum Tug Tugger comes onto the stage! I think I know most of the words to most of the songs - my mom still has the record and I remember wearing it out as a kid! It was a beautiful and magical production and I would go back and see it again tonight if it was playing again!

Well, lots of projects going on around the Elf House today! I rode my bike to church this morning which was really refreshing. We're putting up a new bird feeder for all my front and backyard wildlife. And I have tons of stuff to get done for inventory for the up and coming Elf House Etsy shop!

What projects do you have going on today??

Lots of Love...
