Friday, I'm in ♥

Well gang, we made it through another week. I hope yours was productive and positive! Most of our weekend plans have been cancelled due to bad storms here in East Texas. This includes our engagement pictures, more than likely. So, that's a total bummer. But I can't say that a weekend at home would be a bad thing - to relax and get some stuff done.

But enough of that, you're here for some fantastic Friday finds. So, lets get started.

  • Whether you're new to Twitter or have been tweeting for a while, this article on using hashtags is a good read. When I first started using Twitter, hashtags were one of the many things that I just didn't get. This article discusses how to use them to get more out of your Twitter experience.

  • This article was brought to my attention by my very own Prince Charming. If you're a mom, it's a must read. It discusses loving kids differently and that in fact, it is okay to have a favorite child. I just heard the collective *gasp*. Having four kids, I liked reading her perspective on how each kid may need a different type of love/motivation/attention.

  • I convinced my 16 year old to read the Hunger Games series. I think she read all three books in about 4 days. And fell in love as much as me. We are celebrating her 17th birthday this month and what would be more perfect than a Hunger Games party? I think so!

  • True story, when I was little, my cousin and I were obsessed with old beach movies and Leslie Gore. Put on Frankie Avalon, Anette Funicello or Gidget and we were sucked in. So when I saw this Gidget post from Oh So Lovely Vintage I was instantly a happy girl.

So, what did I miss? What were you loving this week?

    1. You've got to finish them! They are so good. Yes, she read in every spare moment she had. Took them to school with her and read thru one entire weekend! I just finished re-reading the first one, in preperation for the movie!

  7. I am rereading The Hunger Games in the lead up to the movie. So amazing! Am I too old at 32 for a Hunger Games party?

BTW, of your 16 year old loved The Hunger Games so much you should get her to read "Tomorrow When the War Began" by John Marsden. 7 books in the series and it is equally gripping. I read it in a week when I was about her age.
